Tim brought to our attention that the Patriots have a really ridiculous schedule next year. I guess the league really, really, really wants them to go undefeated all the way through the Super Bowl. When Tim said the Patriots "have the weakest schedule" in the league, I assumed this was a Tim-like exaggeration. (Not sure if you know this, but Tim is prone to exaggerate sometimes.) So I looked ...NFL schedule has been released

A few quick thoughts and runthrough: Overall, a pretty soft schedule. If you go by strength of schedule (opponents 2007 record), the Patriots have the easiest schedule in the league at a .387 strength of schedule. Patriots get an easy start and should be able to break the consecutive wins during the regular season streak. They open with the Chiefs, followed by the Jets, then the ...2008 Schedule Released

If you're judging strictly by 2007 record, then yes, the Patriots have the easiest schedule in 2008. This really shouldn't surprise anyone. Nor should it be discussed as much as it's been on the boring 2-hour ESPN special. New England obviously beat all it's division opponents, giving them a healthy 0-6 head in the easiest schedule race. Add in a few more teams from last year's schedule ...Schedule analysis

The Patriots may have the easiest schedule in the league in 2008 when it comes to the numbers -- their opponents were a combined 99-157 last year, a .387 win percentage -- but it won't be that easy. With four West Coast road trips, New England could potentially log 13,000 miles in the air this year; it is the first time since 1986 (L.A. Raiders, L.A. Rams, 49ers, Seahawks) that the team ...Pats Win SOS Lottery, Get Home Field Now

Well, if the Patriots weren't already the favorites to have home-field advantage for the playoffs, they are now. The Patriots have the easiest schedule in the entire league, based on last year's records. The Patriots' opponents won less than 40% of their games last year. The Chargers have the second easiest schedule, while the Steelers, Colts, and Jaguars will all have to fight for every win. ...2008 PATRIOTS SCHEDULE

Ok, the next milestone on the road to recovery has arrived. The Patriots 2008-09 schedule is here and we move one step closer to next season. Travel-wise, I'd say the schedule looks pretty killer. ANALYSIS The Patriots seemingly catch a break by facing the Colts after Indianapolis has a short week.
