MANCHESTER The sun is beating down on the Fisher Cats, perfect weather for batting practice, as J.P Ricciardi watches his minor leaguers take their hacks. The Blue Jays general manager has made his first trip to New Hampshire this season, and the heat is on -- in more ways than one. Stop! Homer Time!
Published 7/21/2008 by #2JBrumfield at Batter's Box Interactive Magazine
New Hampshire, Dunedin and Lansing combined to belt 10 homers yesterday, half of them by the Fisher Cats, to propel them to victory.  As for Syracuse, they dropped their fifth in a row to fall to .500.  At least the Argos are back to .500 thanks to a 109-yard drive for the winning touchdown.  Way to go, K-Jo.  That concludes my football commentary! Durham 4 Syracuse 0 Syracuse, NY - Lefty Bill Murphy traded zeroes with Bulls starter Wade Davis in his first Triple A start for the first five innings.  Murphy survived five baserunners in the first two frames, including a bases-loaded jam ...

Oh no! The Blue Jays aren’t a whole lot better since the purge of the coaching staff! Quick! Some Jays-related highlights: The biggest jump in production among NL third basemen (143.8%) belongs to the St. Louis Cardinals. Uh-oh. Though it's true that the Greatest Blue Jay Ever had a rough year last year, that's... well. . . that's not good. It should be noted, though, that Rolen is actually producing 90.3% of what Glaus and whichever shitbags filled in for him last year did. So... it's ...

Longoria Is No Ordinary Rookie

Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Evan Longoria sure has done a lot since being recalled from Triple-A Durham on April 12.
