Tim Duncan: Awesomming From Everywhere (Even Three-Point Range) [Nba Closer]
Published 4/20/2008 by Leitch at Deadspin
The NBA Closer is written by Matt McHale, who's freaking excited about the freaking playoffs. So if you here about him doing anything else at any time, it wasn't really him. Unless he's talking about beersomnia and bad movies at Basketbawful. Enjoy! Tim Duncan was legen...wait for it...dary. Timmy showed once again that he just lies in wait during the regular season, saving his best stuff for the playoffs. Duncan scored 40 points, connected on 16 of his 24 shots, snatched 15 rebounds, and hit his first three-pointer of the season to tie the game and send it into a second overtime. And that's when the Spurs finally outlasted ...

Avery Johnson Wishes Mavs Would Toughen Up, Especially Dampier
by Marcel Mutoni There was a pretty hilarious scene during the Mavs/Hornets series opener, during which David West tapped Dirk Nowitzki on the face a couple of times after having taken an inadvertent elbow from the big German. Nowitzki did not react, of course, and that gave his vocal legion of critics plenty of ammunition. Though most reasonable people seem to agree that Nowitzki was ...
Dirk Nowitzki: Big flopper, big punk, or just plain goofy?
So apparently Sportfiends isn’t the only ones who have been questioning how tough Dirk Nowitzki actually is . I’ve been wondering about it for a long time and I guess David West took his chance to test him himself in their game 1 matchup on Saturday. Check out the play with David West and Dirk Nowitzki in which Dirk ended up taking one in the cheeck from West. Some people called ...
Timmy & Lords of the Underworld
Photo. adidas As good as this past NBA regular season was, Day 1 of the playoffs topped everything by giving us the best single game we’ve seen all year on any level. We don’t care who you love or who you hate, Spurs/Suns was an amazing display of ball that included a virtuoso performance from one [...]
Mavericks-Hornets Series Preview
After such an amazing regular season in the NBA, I can only hope that the playoffs will be just as compelling. The Western Conference seedings weren’t settled until the final day, and when all was said and done, four potentially epic first-round series were set. Somehow the Mavericks were able to avoid falling into the 8th spot by virtue of their win in the season-finale against the ...
