According to this report on MLSNet, John Carver, Danny Dichio, Jeff Cunningham and company had a bit of a scare as their flight out of LA had to make an emergency landing. What's the old cliché about a hard won 3-points on the road? In case you didn't know, or just were curious, since it is not mentioned anywhere int he story, American Airlines is the Official Airline of MLS.

We're going to start today with a bit of controversy. MLS has had exactly one relocation (and two franchise demises) in its 13-year history. No disrespect to San Jose fans still irritated about that relocation, but that's a rather remarkable record, especially compared to some of the periodic upheavals in long-established leagues like the NFL and NHL. When MLS is negotiating a stadium or sponsorship deal, the league can honestly say it's there for the long haul.
