According to game notes given to the media available on MLB.com, the Mets have signed IF/OF Marlon Anderson to a minor-league contract. Anderson will be in uniform for Triple-A New Orleans tonight. In 2005 with the Mets, Anderson hit .264 with 7 HR and 19 RBI. However, he hit .351 with a homer and six RBI in 56 at-bats as a pinch-hitter.
