But Johnson didn’t play. At all. It could mean that the Bengals are intent on trading Johnson, and that they didn’t want to risk him suffering an injury on the eve of a transaction. Or it could mean that the Bengals will be cutting Johnson on Saturday, and didn’t want to have to pay him an injury settlement if he had gotten banged up.
