According to Adam Rubin of the NY Daily News , Brian Schneider has been sent back to New York with an infected left thumb which could require a stint on the DL.
If so, Gustavo Molina could be activated to take his place.

Hmm … that leaves Raul Casanova as the Mets starting and backup catcher.
