I think if you look closely at his credentials you'll see that alexander is more than qualified to take the job. No, he does not have experience as a head coach, but he has been the man right under marvin lewis for the past few years and knows what he's doing. Also, if you take a deeper look at his past, he has coached under legendary college men such as Bo Schembechler and Joe Paterno and has probably taken a page out of their books. Alexander specializes in the offensive line and that is what we really need help on at Cuse. I mean, he made guys like Bobby Williams and Levi Jones into all stars at Cinci. If the Bengals have kept him for 15 years he must be doing something right that can't be replaced.

DEAR GOD NO
Three Idiots on Sports — Here's hoping there is absolutely NO TRUTH to this rumor. The last thing Syracuse needs is another long-tenured NFL assistant to lead the program. Especially a guy who has spent the past 15 years with one of the worst franchises in NFL history.....

Care.  He's spent 15 years in the NFL, away from college ...

Disastrous, incompetent, Bengals offense are Prom King, Queen, and Joker
Cincy Jungle — ... catch it. Too many drops. They’re under-performing in every area. Former first round pick at cornerback (Leon Hall) gets beat repeatedly. Defensively, I thought there was great effort out there, but nothing consistent. Obviously, this is a Ravens offense with a rookie quarterback that looked better against this defense than they had in Week 1. Other than that, they were all right.” More, more, so much more. Paul Alexander is being mentioned for the Syracuse University head coaching spot. The 46-yard pass from Ryan ...

2009 Attendance and Beyond
WhoDeyRevolution — ... 2)  Marvin Lewis will either continue as head coach, or a "mutual agreement" will be reached to relieve Lewis of his duties.  The next coach of the Bengals will be either Bob Bratkowski, Paul Alexander (since the Bengals are terrified he will bolt for Syracuse), or someone else very underwhelming to the fan base. ...

theorangesports.blogspot.com 11/30/2008 — In an article on syracuse.com that is entitled Brinkley falls just 36 yards short of 1,200 yards rushing, and of course talks about how the senior missed the goal he set before the season by very little, there is a part of it that is a bit more interesting to me...
