Breaking News: Turnbow designated for assignment
Milwaukee Brewers — JSOnline.com just reported that the Brewers have designated reliever Derrick Turnbow for assignment. Infielder Joe Dillon was recalled from AAA Nashville and will join the club in Houston Friday evening. Turnbow’s designation was widely expected after his awful performance in Chicago Wednesday evening. The former closer, Turnbow made the NL All-Star team back in 2006, but struggled ever since his appearance, eventually losing the closing job to Francisco Cordero later that year after Cordero was acquired in a trade with the Rangers.
