The Designed Rush, Week 8: In Which the NFL Needlessly Defers to Its Weaker Rival
The Sporting Blog —
... I think a few people might watch this game. Minnesota eked out more than its share of narrow wins this season, but their luck finally ran out last week in Pittsburgh thanks to two late turnovers that resulted in Steelers scores. Since losing in the Metrodome in Week 4, the Packers have plowed through lesser competition, blasting the Browns and Lions by a combined score of 57-3. Aaron Rodgers avoided being sacked for the first time this season against the Browns, which is significant because the Green Bay offensive line must rebound after their previous performance against ...

... a game in which you should pull against a team for their potential impact on our postseason down the road as the Jets will likely be in on the Wild Card hunt. Go fish (yes, I realize they're mammals, kill yourself). Cleveland/Chicago - Bwahahaha. Houston/Buffalo - Time to find out if the Texans can vie for a Wild Card spot. It's cold up there, Schaub, you still gonna be leading the league in TDs after this game? Pay-pey'll overtake you this week, sorry. 4 O'CLOCK GAMES: Minny/Green Bay - According to the map, unless you live in AZ or ...
Week 8 NFL Announcing: FOX 'Buck'-ing the Numbers
The Sporting Blog —
During Thursday night's World Series Game Two, Joe Buck plugged FOX's Sunday sports schedule with a sense of, for Buck at least, glee. The 2009 NFL Broadcast Assignments for Week 8
Eye On Sports Media —
Week eight of the 2009 NFL Season is here, and every network is seeing higher ratings except for CBS Sports. Is this tied into the notion, as espoused by a couple of talking heads on ESPN this week, that a lot of NFL games this year are unwatchable? And that CBS Sports seems to have been getting a lot of these games? ...
