Dolphins-Chiefs deal soon could get Green light
Adam Schefter's "Around the League" reports and commentaries can be seen regularly on NFL Total Access . ( May 16, 2007 ) -- Trade talks between Miami and Kansas City regarding quarterback Trent Green have lingered so long, it's enough to make Dolphins and Chiefs fans see green -- literally. But there soon could be the opportunity for a breakthrough. The Chiefs' organized team ... [link]

... "Stycke av Pussel," or "piece of the puzzle," he thinks. Adam Schefter doesn't waste any time in suggesting that Jason Cambpell has looked Pro Bowl good in OTA's. Seriously, there's nothing better than being a Skins fan in May. I'll get on board this Pro Bowl train, why not? Also, apparently the team's new radio frequency in the Hampton Roads area is "

Eagles could deal Holcomb during camp?

... This leaves Kelly Holcomb, whom Philadelphia acquired in an off-season trade from Buffalo, as the fourth quarterback and the apparent odd man out. However, Holcomb always could outplay Feeley this summer. But more likely, another team will lose a quarterback to injury during the preseason and the Eagles will be able to deal one of their quarterbacks -- Holcomb, probably -- to another team.

Skins Campbell looking good this offseason

... Washington quarterback Jason Campbell is said to look especially good. After two years in the league as an understudy, and four hours each day this winter and spring in Washington's training facility simply studying, Campbell is said to look like a different quarterback, Redskins officials said this week. One observer even predicted, boldly, that Campbell would go to the Pro Bowl this season.

KC's Green forcing trade to Dolphins?
Published 5/17/2007 by Ben Maller at Ben Maller's Sports Rumors & Notes
... The Chiefs' organized team activities will kick off May 21, and Trent Green is adamant that, unless he is traded to Miami before then, he will be attending. The Chiefs do not want Green there as much as he doesn't want to be there, which could provide an impetus to consummate a trade by May 21. There also are other factors working to facilitate a trade for Green. In recent days, in the continuing conversations the two teams have conducted, the Dolphins have shown a willingness to budge off their offer of a sixth-round draft pick to the Chiefs. It has not been enough to get the deal done yet, but soon could be. The question now, as it has been for weeks, is when and how does Green get to Miami? There is little question Green will be quarterbacking the Dolphins this season, but the hangup in getting him there continues.

... Fine, we're on board as well -- despite viewing such early acclaim portentiously -- but what exactly did Shefter report?

... system here, as it projects Jason Campbell as an outstanding QB prospect. That observation (that he did so well under the Lewin system) was far more intriguing to me than, say, Adam Schefter "Pro Bowl prediction" report. The Outsiders design their data systems for prediction, unlike the subjective pronouncements of JC's teammates or coaches or anyone else. Thus when FO projects X, you can know that is a founded and justifiable assertion (even if it proves wrong). I wish the guys at FO, who have been breaking into the mainstream at

... Adam Schefter reports that Campbell has looked "especially good" this offseason. Maybe meaningless praise, maybe not.
