New York Journalists Are Horny Over Giants-Cowboys Game
thelandryhat posted 1/9/2008 from thelandryhat.com
I get Google alerts anytime Tony Romo or the Dallas Cowboys are mentioned in a news article. Little did I know my e-mail inbox would be flushed with poop from the New York media in the form of “journalism.” Even TMZ.com, the world-renowned tabloid gorillas, are joining in on the Tony Romo-Jessica Simpson fest. But the New York media is taking the cake.At least Romo had his weekend with Jessica

Congrats to you Giants fans out there. That was a great game to watch. Of course I didn’t actually bet these picks. Wish I had. We’re going to have us some fun on his blog if the Patriots and the Giants meet in the Super Bowl.Conference Championship Picks and Other NFL Thoughts

Introduction Another week down and another bad week for my prognostications. My one upset pick went down as the Patriots took care of business against the Jags. Then the Packers destroyed the Seahawks at Lambeau, the Bolts shocked the Colts (see what I did there?), and the Giants defeated the Cowboys. That means only my pick of the Pack over the ‘Hawks was accurate. The Cowboys were ...Championship Weekend Picks

Ok.. pretty much *No Brainers* this weekend.. or is it possible that the New York Football Giants can go into Lambeau in the snow, and 7 degree weather, and get the upset against the Packers? *please allow me to pick my sell up off the floor from laughter* That ain’t happenin! Make your picks.. I know Robert will take both underdogs this weekend! NFC Championship Game @ (X) ...Tiki Barber picks Giants on 'blind' faith
Posted 1/16/2008 on Watchdog
As far as I can tell, Tiki Barber (wisely) plans to lay low this week as Giants fans continue to call him an addition by subtraction and wonder what he thinks about the team's success without him. He did talk about the Giants Tuesday on his Sirius NFL Radio show, "The Barber Shop." Here is a transcript: On the Giants' performance against the Cowboys: Tiki Barber: “I’ll tell you, it ...Week 19 Picks: Divisional Playoffs, Dallas vs. New York

Giants vs. Cowboys All Eyes on Injuries, QBs, Coaches The Dallas Cowboys are 2-0 against the New York Giants this season, but the last meeting was almost exactly two months ago (deja vu). There's a lot of water under the bridge since then. Dallas has coasted into the playoffs with two losses in their last three games, while New York has been playing high-level football for a few weeks. ...NFL PLAYOFFS PICKS: DIVISIONAL ROUND

We’re down to the best 8 teams in the NFL. There are plenty of subplots to each game. The New England Patriots pursuit of perfection is the top story of the playoffs. What to watch for in this weekend's biggest picks. Home team in ALL CAPS. PACKERS over Seahawks -- I don't expect the Seahawks to beat a better team in an away game. I'm already coming to grips with a Packers win, in part because I feel so sorry for anyone who has to live in Green Bay. Giants over COWBOYS -- Eh, one of the away teams has to win this weekend, right? Right? ...Playoff picks: ETVal vs. 'Greek,' Round 2

To heck with the Cowboys and the Giants! 'Greek' and I are engaged in a war of our own, and things are getting serious. We both went 2-2 last week in the first round of our head-to-head battle to see who is wiser pigskin prognosticator. I lost both Saturday games, but the Giants and Chargers bailed me out on Sunday. Let's stop with the nonsense now and get on with this week's selections. ...Linced Up: Divisional Round Playoff Edition

I hate watching the playoffs without the Iggles. It brings the excitement level from a ten down to a two. Last week I went 3-1 with my playoff predictions, and now I will strive for perfection. Here are this weekends picks: Giants 28 Cowboys 17 Chargers 20 Colts 27 Jaguars 14 Patriots 23 Seahawks 13 Packers 21 Here are some lincs [...]NFL Picks, Playoff Week 2: Suck My Chalk

This is the week of the year when the favorites, historically, have an incredible advantage. On average, three out of four of them will win and advance. So whenever any of the wild-card teams break through, it's memorable, and the memorable bets are the ones that keep you coming back. It's also the far more sexy and contrary pick. When you go for the road dog in this round, you get to talk ...Jay Novacek Picks Dallas Cowboys to Win By 1 Point

Why isn’t former Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys tight end Jay Novacek in the Hall of Fame? It must be that Cardinal Curse. I didn’t know the clutch catcher for the Cowboys 90’s championships had a blog. He writes here that it is very difficult to beat a team three times in a season. Well, other than the Giants upset of Tampa Bay, my picks were dead on. In fact, if you read my pan of the game, you'd see that I said I wouldn't be surprised if the Giants won, as it all depended on which Eli Manning showed up. Well, the good one did, as his play was definitely the difference in this game and now the Giants get what they've wanted- another shot at the Dallas Cowboys. And the Giants are on their way to Big D, to face the Dallas Cowboys after manhandling the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay on Sunday, 24-14. Eli Manning, 20-27, 185 yards , 2 tds, and most importantly no picks. I said it before, the Giants are an excellent road team.
