In the first quarter of today’s Lions-Vikings game, the Lions faced third-and-10 from their own 1-yard line. When Lions quarterback Dan Orlovsky got the snap, he dropped back to pass. Way, way back. When we signed Dan Orlovsky, I was actually a little excited. I thought he was a solid young quarterback who could develop into a good pro. Besides, we only needed him as a backup. Hopefully he’ll never do more than hold a clipboard and start week 17 games because we clinched our playoff spot weeks ago. Still, reaction by mainstream media was, how shall I say this, less than complimentary.
