allonthefield +3It's interesting how much excitement the release of a schedule has generated. I suppose basketball and baseball, due to the length of their seasons, are inherently less exciting. But still...football season is months away.

Everyone can now relax, as the Steelers' 2008 schedule (affectionately called "Murderer's Row") was just released. The Steelers have just five such ...
So who hates Leon Durham?
Published 4/15/2008 by Bryan at OUT OF RIGHT FIELD
Fred Mitchell of the Chicago Tribune saw the story of Bill Buckner throwing out the first pitch at Fenway last week, and then seized the opportunity to get out of doing actual journalism and half-assed an article about Leon Durham. THE 2008 NFL SCHEDULE IS OUT
Published 4/15/2008 at With Leather
The 2008 NFL schedule has been released, and all over the place people are trying to look at the season highlights. Fuck that. Wanna know what I'm excited about? Every game the Seahawks play. Do I care about the Monday Night Football lineup, or possible Sunday flex games, or which hated player is returning to which city when? Nope. All I care about until I draft my fantasy team is my fanboy homerism. Which reminds me: WTF is the point of a Week 4 bye? For fuck's sake, at least let the teams play four games before you give them a week off.

Someone In The NFL Hates The Dolphins
Published 4/15/2008 by BDoc at The Sports Oasis
Today, NFL fans got a bit of a tease when the 2008 schedule was released. Instantly fans can chart their team's course through the season, and dream about which weak teams they'll destroy en route to making the playoffs. Of course, being a Dolphins' fan I have no expectations of seeing my team in the playoffs. Would it be nice? Hell yeah. Is it probable? Uh, no. However, I would like my team to not be the one that gets screwed up on the schedule. That's right, not only is Miami going to play two games outside of the U.S. in two seasons, but they've been left off the schedule for week 4 of the season. They have no game, and they're not listed as one of the bye ...

A Closer Look at the Schedule
Published 4/18/2008 by mgrex03 <info@stampedeblue.com> at Stampede Blue: Front Page Posts
As we all know, the NFL released the schedule this week, and the21eraser did a great job analyzing the Colts schedule. I'd like to take a little closer look at the Colt's schedule. Everyone in the media has been focusing on the win/loss records of our opponents, and talking about how easy/tough a schedule is. Based on this, the Steelers have the toughest, with the Colts coming in at #2. This information has been known ever since the Colts/Titans game, so I find it strange that they keep trumpeting this information, and only this information, as to who has the toughest schedule. I'm going to look at the Colt's schedule, and see who we play ...
