The acquisition of Nick Swisher is an excellent

RollingWave I'm not quiet getting your article. are you saying that Nick Swisher won't bounce back or are you saying that because everyone already anticipate him bouncing back he won't really be a steal in the draft?

willkoky why is this not the realm of projections engines? putting a number on breakout potential and basing comebacks on what type of injury the player had and the history of players with that injury seems right up their alley. Being able to watch trends in advanced metrics so that true talent improvements mid season can be identified. These would seems to all be the future jobs of projection engines to factor in properly. Heck when I do my numbers for fantasy baseball I have a column that basiclaly says "opinion" and I don't know if there's anything wrong with a projection engine having its values tweaked by its owner based on some reasoning. kind of like the people powered projections someone did this year. or accepting scouting info and quantifying it.
