Also worth noting that, as rumors swirl prior to Tuesday’s 3 p.m. trade deadline, Babcock said Valtteri Filppula isn’t going anywhere. He had been rumored as possible trade bait for Atlanta’s Marian Hossa. Filppula was back on a line with Pavel Datsyuk and Tomas Holmstrom in practice. Believable? Yes.  Could Babcock by lying?  Yes.  Gut tells you?  Fil’s staying.
