The concenses among some is that there is no need for Knott on the Twins with Craig Monroe aboard. Monroe hit just .219 last year with the Tigers but hit .271 against lefties and has a .273 average in his career against southpaws. Considering that Jason Kubel who the Twins expect to use at DH bats left there’s still reason enough to carry the right handed Knott.
