Much was made on ESPN of the fact that the son of ESPN’s Mike Golic would follow in his father’s footsteps by playing football at Notre Dame. But we doubt that much will be made on ESPN of the fact that Mike Golic Jr. has been arrested on misdemeanor alcohol charges in South Bend. (We hope that ESPN proves us wrong; not because we want to see Golic Jr. get publicly embarrassed — that is, any more than he already is by his old man’s antics – but because if it were any other school involving kids who weren’t related to an ESPN personality, it would be treated as a big deal.) ...
