... 2003 World Series MVP. Beckett has been workshopping pitches at Trinity since 2006. After their first session, Beckett joked with the sophomore. (”You don’t suck as bad as I thought you would.”) After a few more practices, Beckett confessed to Trinity’s head coach Tim Scannell that he enjoyed throwing to Fregosi, and raved about the sophomore’s ability to frame and receive pitches.
