Oakland Raiders: Rookie free agent signings Links0
As of 9:42pm pst, the Raiders have continued to work on their rookie class by signing three undrafted free agents. The Raiders only had five draft picks in the seven round draft and only one pick prior to the fourth round. The players signed are Chris Wagner, TE, South Dakota State; Louis Rankin, RB, Washington (I guess you can never have too many); Shane Simmons, ILB, Western Washington. [link]

Oakland Raiders offense (almost) playoff worthy

This time a year ago, there was only one major question surrounding a Raiders team filled with questions: Can this young kid Lane Kiffin make the Raiders better? Kiffin answered that question with a resounding, “YES,” as he changed the culture of the team in his brief time as head coach of the Oakland Raiders. This season, the Raiders are faced with only a few questions, but all of them are ...

The Oakland Raiders would be unwise to make a move for Chad Johnson

Chad Johnson of the Cincinnati Bengals has made every move possible to get himself traded to another team. The Oakland Raiders under Al Davis are known for taking the malcontents and giving them another chance allowing them to succeed. That was a reputation that was well earned back in the Raiders’ salad days, but in recent years the Raiders have not been so successful with those moves.

Oakland Raiders: Breaking NEWS!

11:00 AM PST Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting that even though the Rams have not made a firm decision on who they’ll select with their first pick of the 2008 NFL Draft, Glenn Dorsey, DT from LSU, is the likely choice. If the Rams were to select Dorsey, that would leave only the Falcons in the way of Chris Long coming to Oakland with the fourth pick of the draft.

Al Davis made a head scratcher of a move by giving up the Oakland Raiders’ seventh round pick to trade up in the fourth round to select cornerback Tyvon Branch out of Connecticut. Oakland Raiders Shocker: Rhodes released

After hauling in Darren McFadden, you had to know that the Raiders weren’t going to keep all of their veteran running backs on the roster. The consensus pick to be released by the Raiders was Lamont Jordan. The shocker is that Dominic Rhodes is the first back to be released by the Oakland Raiders. Rhodes only had one season left on his contract, so the cap hit shouldn’t be too substantive.
