Ohio State lost its one experienced big man for at least a month when 6-9 junior Dallas Lauderdale broke his hand during a workout Monday.
Surgeon Ryan Klinefelter will operate on Lauderdale's hand Wednesday at the Ohio State Medical Center. Lauderdale is expected to require between four and six weeks to recover. Ohio State plays its first game Nov. 9 against Alcorn State.
