 Ohio: 61 - MD: 55
Apparently I was a bit too hasty with my last post on the Terps. Following a tough loss to a pretty good BC team, the Terps laid an egg at home against Ohio University (not Ohio State, Ohio U). They came out flat and unemotional, had trouble scoring points all night, and lacked a sense of urgency until the game was already decided. Maryland didn't even attempt a free throw until the second ... [link]

... : "I mean, this is super embarrassing. I can't even go out there and go home." 6) East Coast Bias points out that Maryland still doesn't have a road/neutral win . After the jump, your additional pithy comments. 1. Georgetown The Hoyas might go wire-to-wire. (Rob Yunich) "Now, if you want to crown em', then crown their ass!" (Gavin Weiss) It'd be much easier to be pithy if Kenny Brunner or Victor Page were still on the team. It May Be Time for the Turtle to Fear

It is probably too early for a team with the potential of Maryland, playing in a conference like the ACC to start worrying about making the NCAA Tournament. They are young, and with a coach like Gary Williams it has to be expected that they will only ...

* No wonder that Maryland (6-5) is struggling this season. They are in direct violation of Rule No-1: you gotta look good to play good. Greivis Vasquez’s attempt at an original facial hair design looks more like he got intimate with a black Sharpie. The Terps scored a season-low in their 61-55 loss to Ohio [...]
Something Remarkable Happened at the Terps Game Last Night...
No, not the fact that we lost by 6 to MAC-middle-feeder Ohio after being down by as much as 17 in the second half. I booed at a Maryland sporting event. I booed the team wearing the Maryland uniform. I booed once following a Terp turnover that led to Ohio scoring off their third offensive rebound of the possession, but I still booed. To pirate my own comments on the subject posted at ...
Greivis Vasquez Has Curious Facial Hair
Despite (and perhaps because of) Maryland’s recent struggle, I didn’t consider their matchup with Ohio to be appointment viewing. Surely, they’d take care of business in College Park as they feed on cupcakes before entering the heart of ACC competition. But I had to tune in after receiving not one but two text messages shortly after tipoff. One was from Chris and the other ...
MAC Strikes Back
Leon Williams, Ohio What it do folks. I swear, I love college basketball. I was browsing some of the scores late at night (once again) and I noticed that two Atlantic Coast Conference powers, Boston College and Maryland, both suffered rare non-conference losses at home to the UMass Minutemen ( box score ) and the Ohio Bobcats ( box score ), respectively. ...
