 On Doug Collins and Pace
An Illinois guy? A former Bulls coach? Someone with head coaching experience? The new head coach of the 2008-09 Bulls? Doug Collins? Yes, it appears Collins fits into each of the above questions, as K.C. Johnson reports that GM John Paxson is expected to hire his former coach . While my immediate reaction to this news was shock, I admit I am somewhat pleased after looking beyond the surface ... [link]

The Chicago Bulls Are Going to Trust Doug Collins with the No. 1 Pick? Bwwwaaahhhhhh
Published 5/29/2008 by TheBigLead at The Big Lead
... Why does this have disaster written all over it? The last time Doug Collins - apparently, he’s going to coach the motley Bulls - drafted a No. 1 pick, that man was Kwame Brown (fine, it was a joint effort with Michael Jordan). This next thing we’re going to tell you must be told in a whisper, because if we say it out loud, you won’t believe it. So put your ear to the screen. ...

Collins Next Bulls Coach?

According to ESPN.com, Doug Collins is going to be named the head coach of the Chicago Bulls sometime in the near future. You may remember that Collins coached MJ for a couple of years back in the day, before they replaced Doug with Phil, and started to win all those championships. Collins, who has been a pretty decent anaylst for TNT over the last couple of years (more after the jump)

Seriously? Doug Collins

This is Why Bulls Fans Don’t Love Doug Collins
Or one of the reasons at least. The last time the basketball world saw Doug Collins on the sidelines, it was a disaster. It was an arrangement that fostered bad feelings within the organization and made for a pretty [...]
YesNoMaybeYes -- Doug Collins in Chicago
First Doug Collins was in as coach of the Chicago Bulls . Then he was most assuredly not definitely in . Then Collins got all up in my talking box before the Lakers - Spurs Game 5 and confirmed he was definitely not in. 'I have not been offered, I have not accepted. Comfortably dumbfounded
It's still very weird to imagine. Doug Collins? Doug? Collins? This was the " new vibe " Paxson was searching for all these weeks? It can be looked at least as a return to known competence. Any coach who isn't that last coach they had (and shall not be named) will get this team back to respectability. They're a roster too talented to be this bad, and with any kind of motivation can ...

As The Coaching Carousel Turns
Chicago Bulls Doug Collins will become the next Bulls head coach , according to a source. I think this is a great move for the Bulls. He’s a demanding coach who enjoys imparting his knowledge upon ...
Report: TNT's Collins running with Bulls

Bulls turn to Doug Collins
Doug Collins ? I guess we shouldn’t be surprised. I never truly believed the Bulls were serious about Mike D’Antoni as head coach. That would have meant handing the reigns to an outsider, someone who could potentially disagree with John Paxson and Jerry Reinsdorf. It didn’t sound like the Bulls I’ve come to know so well. Doug Collins makes perfect sense. He’s a Reinsdorf guy. He and Pax will ...

Doug Collins to Be Named Bulls Head Coach
It's funny what a top pick in the draft will do. Or something.
