Normally I do this post before I go to bed and this time was no exception. Problem was that I got a text message from my brother at 4:14 AM just to let me know that that the Rockies and Padres game is in the 22nd inning. And since I was woken up (thanks bro), I decided to listen to the end. The Rockies won the game 2-1.

The Rockies defeated the Padres 2-1 Thursday night - after 22 innings. The game, longest in the history of both franchises, was the 17th time an MLB game lasted as long, and the first time since 1993. Padres players were driven to messing around with a stuffed ram's head in the dugout, while fans were treated to 7th-inning, 14th-inning & 21st-inning stretches.
