Paul DePodesta: Before noon eastern time, the Padres had locked up five of the top international prospects from around the globe for a total of nearly $5,000,000. A's GM Billy Beane is expected to arrive in the Dominican Republic before Wednesday to oversee the signing of Michel Inoa, the 6'7" teenage pitcher, according to Baseball America. He is ineligible to sign until Wednesday so Beane will waste no time getting a deal done.
