After being released by the Dolphins (after the Dolphins got ex-Chief Trent Green and ex-BYU QB John Beck , Culpepper had a short stay on the rumor mill (Jacksonville among other places) before going to Oakland. He could end up in a Kurt Warner - Eli Manning or Kurt Warner - Matt Leinart role provided Russell overcomes his greedy intentions and gets to camp. (Maybe even a Jake Plummer - Jay Cutler role.) Culpepper might not throw bombs from his knees but he does have chemistry with Randy Moss . Oh, wait Um Culpepper has experience in the league though. And he can scramble a bit. With the Raiders defense last year (provided it holds up), they just need a bit of offense to win the games.
