Pedroia signs 6 year, $40 million contract extension
The 2008 American League MVP is now under contract with the Red Sox for years to come. Second baseman Dustin Pedroia signed a six-year extension with the Red Sox today for a little more than $40 million, the Globe's Amalie Benjamin has confirmed. ESPN's Peter Gammons first reported the deal.
