From the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: The Penguins' efforts to flesh out their roster have stretched to the far side of the Atlantic. They are trying to sign free-agent left winger Janne Pesonen , a 26-year-old Finn. He has been offered a contract, and the Penguins hope to learn later today or tomorrow whether he will accept it.
