Paterno To Sign Through 2011
There Is No Name On My Jersey — The big news of the day started off being what team would Newsome be playing for in 2009, however, FOS is reporting that Joe Paterno is on the verge of inking a brand new three year deal . There aren't any real details to speak of yet. It is great that Paterno is coming back. I have been saying that Paterno deserves to leave whenever he wants for several years now. Also, when you consider that PSU has won 40 games over that last four seasons (with a shot at 41) bringing him back is a no-brainer. I am fired up! GO STATE! GO JOE! BEAT THE TROJANS!

That, ladies and gents, is the perfect way to say that 81-year-old Joe Paterno, who spent most of ...

Inside The Joe Paterno Contract Negotiations
Tirico Suave — Gambling on the fact that God will follow suit, Penn State has extended coach Joe Paterno for three more years. With head coaching vacancies suddenly opening at both Ball and Iowa State, the move to lock up JoePa had to be made. Despite his long tenure at the school, the negotiations weren’t as straight forward as you would have thought. Both sides were far apart on a few topics. Each made their case, argued a few finer points and ultimately were able to come to an amicable agreement. And just like each time prior, JoePa negotiated his own deal. Here are some of the ...
