Without two of their top defesemen, the Philadelphia Flyers are simply not good enough to stop the high-flying Pittsburgh Penguins forwards. I mean, when Sidney Crosby is your second best player, you know good things are bound to happen. Did you know that Sid's dad was taken in the same draft as Mario Lemieux in 1984? Small world!FlyersFan25 posted 5/14/2008 from www.thebroadstreetblog.com
For all the praise the Penguins get about their offense, their defensive prowess has been on display in this series, shutting down a strong Philadelphia team. Through the first two periods in game 3, the Flyers were only able to make 8 shots on goal. The Penguins have been able to disrupt the Flyers passing and have prevented them from getting much traffic in front of Marc-Andre Fleury.Confluence of the Three Rivers posted 5/14/2008 from mvn.com
Congratulations to Danny Briere for getting a point last night. Well done, sir. I see the chances of a sweep in this series are a little better than in the Rangers’ series. It really appeared like last night’s loss took the wind right out of the Flyers. But the Flyers are professionals, they’re not going to mail it in, they’ll give it everything they got. Having said that, a quick Pens’ goalThe Confluence of the Three Rivers found this 5/14/2008 on www.hockeybuzz.com
Just a quick note before running my daughter to the dentist this morning... The Penguins are absolutely amazing me. The maturity level of Sidney is often talked about, but it isn't until you sit across from this guy at one of these press conferences ...Defence21 posted 5/14/2008 from www.faceoff-factor.com
Pretty simple…sweep or no sweep for the Wings on the march to the Cup.WWGRD posted 5/4/2008 from www.faceoff-factor.com
