Kobe Bryant produced another fine all-around game (31 points, seven rebounds, six assists, three steals, two blocked shots, 12-24 field goal shooting) as his Lakers defeated the Nuggets 107-101 to complete the only sweep in the first round of this year's playoffs. Bryant scored 14 of his points in the final 5:31 of the fourth quarter.

The NBA did not know when to call it quits. The NBA ran out of NBA superstars for their ” There can only be one ” promos . They went to the well too many times. It started with a Shaq and Kobe , promo and that was great. They are superstars with a history.

Kobe simply willed the Lakers to victory, scoring 14 of the Lakers last 19 points of the game to finish with 31 (along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists). And he did it every which way imaginable, from deep threes to acrobatic lay-ups - Kobe would not allow his team to lose. That’s what MVPs do.
