Yesterday I mentioned that Mike A. from River Ave. Blues brought up the idea of bringing in Mike Piazza since the only healthy catcher on the current roster is Chad Moeller. I don't think it's a bad idea at all, especially with today's news that Posada may need a cortisone shot. Apparently Brian Cashman doesn't think it's a bad idea either. Molina won't be much worse of a hitter than a 39-year-old, out-of-work, out-of-shape Piazza. We did campaign for Piazza to come to the Yanks over the 2005-06 offseason, but now it's just too late, and just doesn't make sense. Moeller didn't look that out of place last night, anyway. We always thought he was a pretty horrible analyst, even when he was back with the Mets in the '80s and '90s, but we didn't know how much vitriol Tim McCarver inspired in people. ...
