Ordonez placed on Tigers' disabled list

The Tigers are going to be without Magglio Ordonez for a while. Because of a pulled oblique, Ordonez was placed on the 15-day disabled list before Sunday's game. After leaving Saturday night's game because of the problem, he said he also experienced discomfort overnight -- so the Tigers didn't hesitate in making a move. They recalled outfielder Matt Joyce from Toledo.
