Tim Neverett: New Play-by-Play Announcer
Raise the Jolly Roger —
The Pirates announced today that Tim Neverett will be Lanny Fratarre’s replacement as play-by-play announcer. [PG]
Neverett has done play-by-play for FSN Rocky Mountain for the Colorado Rockies’ games, and has also worked for Versus and the Mountain West Sports Network while calling college baseball and football games. He also has some experience in broadcasting the Olympics.
I can’t find much else on him at the moment. We’ll get used to him, but Lanny Fratarre, [who retired at the end of the season], will be missed. It will be ...
