Mitchell Report day: My thoughts and predictions

... us a list of names of people who did steroids or HGH. How does that really help today’s game? Don’t get me wrong, I definitely want tougher steroid/HGH testing and tougher punishments. I just don’t know what a report on what players did in the past will accomplish.
There are already multiple posts on blogs devoted to the release of the Mitchell report and predicting which players will be named as steroid/HGH users. (Check out Baseball Think Factory, Center Field, Deadspin and The Big Lead).

I laugh when I see all this. It's a joke and for fans who care, they are being taken for a ride. It's not stopped fans from coming, or buying souvenirs. Personally as good as this may sound and perhaps may lead to a close of the steroid era, as we have seen in the last few days, the report will probably do little to punish anyone.
