Celtics.com reports: The Celtics' shootaround just concluded, and center Kendrick Perkins (strained left shoulder) told the media that he's going to give it a go tonight. No word on whether or not he'll start at this point. Perkins, who injured the shoulder in Game 4 and missed Game 5, says he's still in pain, but that it's getting better each day. busy

No word on whether or not he'll start at this point. Perkins, who injured the shoulder in Game 4 and missed Game 5, says he's still in pain, but that it's getting better each day. Some good news for the Celtics and Celtics fans. Obviously, there's no telling how much Perk can give, but his presence in the paint, especially on the defensive end, has been sorely missed.

Celtics.com reports: BOSTON - Paul Pierce talked to a few reporters on Monday at his annual summer basketball camp at Basketball City just around the corner from the TD Banknorth Garden on Monday, and said that he'll be getting an MRI on his knee but doesn't expect to have to undergo surgery. Pierce said the knee is still sore, but is getting better, and noted that he's been treating his injury "like a sprain that normally takes three-four weeks." After my half-baked 'Darius Miles to the Wizards' idea back in July, I knew that some team would take a chance on him. But more and more, I felt that chance would not be coming from the Washington Wizards. Via Slam, I discovered that Miles has signed with the Boston Celtics.
