Eck-Ernie-Reynolds-Ripken: Please Don’t Quit Your Day Jobs (Video)
BBTF's Baseball Primer NewsblogEck-Ernie-Reynolds-Ripken: Please Don’t Quit Your Day Jobs (Video) The Paragons would crack some serious Schlesinger windowage over Harold and the Peuw Notes in a doo-wop war. I am not sure there are really any words to explain this from the end of the TBS postgame coverage after Game 2 of the ALCS between the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays. At least they all agree they were brutal.

TBS Crew Sings Like Timlin Pitches

Eckersley and company sing Bon Jovi
Red Sox Monster — So there I was, sitting in a bar in downtown Washington D.C. last night, shaking my head after the Red Sox lost to the Rays in 11 innings. Nothing could cheer me up, I thought. Not after watching that debacle. On cue, TBS decided to bring its studio crew out to Bon Jovi impressions. Cue the clip : Wow, I feel strangely better already. Between the hair and the pipes, it sounds like Eck has a little hair metal in him. OK, maybe not.

For Sleepy, Sad Sox Fans, TBS’ Gang Of Four Puts It All In Perspective
Can't Stop The Bleeding — ... (video link taken from Sawx & Dogs) Aside from a forced laff performance that all but erases memories of Cal Ripken’s fine work in the Holiday Inn commercials, what’s up with MLB’s fixation with Bon Jovi?  What town does JBJ love so much, East Rutherford, NJ?  At last check, there were no big league franchises in the Garden State.  Not since Major League Soccer’s illogical decision to ...

TBS Postgame Crew Sings Bon Jovi After ALCS Game 2
FanIQ Blog — ... TBS must have just been gambling and said to themselves "I'm sure no one's watching us anymore at this hour, might as well let the guys try and sing Bon Jovi." As Cal Ripken says at the end, "That was brutal." Oh my yes, was it ever. Something tells me we won't see a similar postgame performance after tonight's game. Or, if we do, hopefully they'll at least be slightly more in-tune. Please Don't Quit Your Day Jobs [Sox and Dawgs] via [Deadspin ...

TBS studio crew sings Bon Jovi, frightens old and young alike
Big League Stew — So TBS aired this abomination right after I filed this post on Saturday night and just before I went to bed. Later, I had a dream about an argument with a pizza delivery man that either looked like or  actually was Dennis Eckersley. After watching this nightmare fuel — particularly that scary up close shot of Eck merrily singing along — I refuse to believe it was a coincidence. A big BLS head nod to Ian at Sox & Dawgs for the rip.
