Dodgers Interested In Cano?
Published 7/24/2008 by Tim Dierkes at MLB Rumors - MLBTradeRumors.com
... George King of the New York Post has a zinger of a rumor this morning:
Dodgers have an interest in Robinson Cano and might be willing to deal Derek Lowe and outfielder Matt Kemp, but the Yankees aren't inclined to part with the red-hot second baseman unless there is a front-of-the-rotation-type starter coming to The Bronx. Lowe, who has the stomach for big games and has AL East experience with the Red Sox, doesn't fit that bill.
If Lowe isn't a frontline starter, he has to be considered a strong ...
The Rumors Are Swirling

... Robinson Cano for Matt Kemp and Derek Lowe. That one came from the Post, so judge for yourself the veracity of the offer. I like Kemp, I like him a lot. Good power/speed combo, hits for a high average, he's young. My main problem with this deal is that I don't think it really improves the team to the point where winning this year is a foregone conclusion. To trade Cano, I think the deal has to either meet that standard or if the Yanks are selling, they need at least two young studs in return. Kemp fits the bill, Lowe does not. This deal does have some appeal, Kemp is a solid ...
Kemp and Lowe for Cano? NO THANKS!
Published 7/24/2008 by Greg Cohen (noreply@blogger.com) at Sliding Into Home: A Yankees Blog
From the New York Post: Dodgers have an interest in Robinson Cano and might be willing to deal Derek Lowe and outfielder Matt Kemp, but the Yankees aren't inclined to part with the red-hot second baseman unless there is a front-of-the-rotation-type starter coming to The Bronx. Lowe, who has the stomach for big games and has AL East experience with the Red Sox, doesn't fit that bill. Kemp, 23, would be viewed as a replacement for Bobby Abreu in right field next year. Kemp is batting .287 (104-for-362) with 11 homers and 55 RBIs in 94 games this season. His ...

Would Yankees Trade Cano?
Published 7/25/2008 by Mr. Fleece at MLB Fleece Factor
... It had been reported in the NY Post that the L.A. Dodgers had “interest” in Yankees’ second baseman Robinson Cano, and were willing to deal Derek Lowe and Matt Kemp in exchange for Cano. I did not comment on this rumor, because I can’t see the Yankees dealing Cano, hence I swept it under the rug as a newspaper’s “space filler”. Interesting to think about and debate, but does anyone really think this would happen? ...

I doubt this one would happen as it appears, but what say you about trading Cano?
