CFN picking Utah to win the Mountain West?
Published 5/15/2008 by JazzyUte at Block U: Front Page Posts
... It at least appears this way, as they have the Utes playing in the Las Vegas Bowl this year. Which is surprising, since BYU has completely owned this conference the past two years. If CFN's predictions hold true, which they probably won't, BYU will be playing New Mexico State in the New Mexico Bowl, ouch! ...
Notre Dame to the 2009 Gator Bowl?
Published 5/16/2008 by Frankie V at UHND.com Blog
College Football News produced a list of very early bowl predictions for the 2008 season recently, and they have the Irish matched up against Miami . I must say that I am a bit surprised. CFN usually has “doom and gloom” type predictions for the Irish so it is very interesting to see them predict good things for Notre Dame this year. A potential matchup with Miami would renew the short lived rivalry that brewed between the schools during the Lou Holtz/Jimmy Johnson Eras at both schools. There is still no love loss between the schools and a bowl matchup between the two would ...

Useless, premature Bowl forecast time! College Football News predicts we'll play South Carolina in the Peach/Chick-fil-A Bowl. Do they post these things to tease me specifically? I would looooove to play in the Georgia Dome...I just know that it is the longest of long shots. ...
Way too early Bowl Projections
Published 5/17/2008 by gulfcoastpolo at The Mountain West Conference Connection
Here is a list from CFN about the early look at the 2008-2009 bowl season, and the real surprise is that they have Utah in the Las Vegas Bowl which is for the conference winner, and no BYU fans they do not have the Cougs in a BCS game. That means they project Utah to win the league, which is far reaching and not far reaching. BYU has won 18 straight conference games while going undefeated the past two year, but Utah has its best team since 2004 (but not even that close) with returning nearly every player, Utah should at worst finish second this year and could challenge BYU. ...

The Sooners In The Cotton Bowl?

... also would have been different had Sam Bradford hadn't got knocked out and the final TD that the refs said wasn't inbounds by Manuel Johnson when it really was, but whatever, that was last season. College Football News has us playing Tennessee in the Cotton Bowl which isn't terrible, but would definitely be a disappointment for us Sooner fans. Oh well, this is mid-May and we are only 4 months away from kickoff. College Football News' BCS Bowl Predictions College Football News non-BCS Bowl Predicitions
Bowling on the Bayou?

College Football News released their "Way Too Early Bowl Predictions 2009" last week and at this point they have Nebraska slated to face Arkansas in the Independence Bowl in gorgeous Shreveport, Louisiana. (Yes, yes. Premature and ludicrous but it's something to talk about.) ...
