Two former Boston College football players yesterday were ordered to serve one year of pretrial probation for their roles in a bar brawl near North Station in which a patron was seriously injured. One of the players, Gosder Cherilus, also was ordered to pay the victim $52,000 toward his medical bills. Cherilus and Tribble both agreed to probation on their bar fight arrest. Gos is also out $52,000 as part of the ruling. Now the guys just have to keep their noses clean. Because Bob Hohler wrote the article, he had to include an unrelated note about Brady Smith. ...

I clearly wasn’t happy when my beloved Detroit Lions selected Gosder Cherilus with their first round selection in last April’s NFL draft, but now that I see he attacks wimpy software engineers who refuse to leave their table to let Cherilus and his friends sit down at local bars, well, now I kind of like the big guy.
