Of course by English opponents, he means English with squads of largely non-English players — but let’s not be too pedantic. I’m not sure I share his bold assertion however [neither does Ronaldo]. It’s unlikely the travelling United faithful do either. I’m also highly skeptical of Fergie’s current Rafa Benitez-like rotation policy — obviously it worked nicely against Fulham and somewhat nicely against Lyon, but the potential for disaster is always just one match away.
