Bubble Watch: How are the Cheerleaders?
So you're on the bubble huh? What's your RPI? What's your SOS? How many games did you win in conference? Those are some of the things the selection committee will be looking at come Sunday. In reality though, they should be concerned with more pressing issues like: What kind of talent are these schools bringing in with their cheerleaders. The Big Ten Men's Basketball 2008 Tournament Preview
The Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament in 2008 is like Adrienne Barbeau : quite top heavy. The Wisconsin Badgers, Purdue Boilermakers, Indiana Hoosiers, and Michigan State Spartans are all nationally ranked and likely going the Big Dance. For sports handicappers who believe in betting the motivational factor, the Ohio State Buckeyes are one of the "last four in" according to ESPN's Joe ...
Bubble Burst
For teams like Florida, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, and Syracuse what happened last night can’t help their situation at all. Izzo is to blame
I did not watch the MSU-OSU game yesterday and frankly, maybe its best that I didnt. MSU blew a 10 point second half lead and lost to a very weak opponent. The turnover problems that many Spartan fans had hoped were gone, returned in dramatic fashion to the tune of 21 turnovers. To put it bluntly, 21 turnovers isn't acceptable on any level of basketball. Certainly not in college, not in ...
Buckeyes Beat Michigan State…Anyone for a Rematch?
Michigan State coach Tom Izzo may have summed it up best when he told the AP that it’s not a bubble the Buckeyes are sitting on, it’s a rock. When asked if he felt Ohio State deserved a tournament bid, he continued , “Hands down.” Say what you will but something has happened to the Buckeyes during the past week. After a four game loosing streak, one of the longest in ...
Indiana Falls, Dakich Needs To Go
The No. 17 Indiana Hoosiers fell to Penn State 68-64 in overtime on Sunday, to drop them to third in the Big Ten and push them further a great seed in the NCAA tournament. The Hoosiers, now 25-6, are just 3-2 since Dan Dakich took over as the head coach. In his tenure so far, the Hoosier barely slipped by Northwestern, almost tanked one against Ohio State , were destroyed by Michigan State ...

Tomorrow is the OSU men's basketball teams last game of the season. It's Senior Day! The last game of Jamar Butler, Matt Terwilliger, and Othello Hunter's career at OSU . Intentional Upset: Ohio State Rebounds Against Purdue
The Buckeyes of O-H-I-O kept their slim NCAA Tournament hopes alive last night by dispatching 15th-ranked Purdue, 80-77 in overtime. Ohio State was led by Jamar Butler’s 25 points, 23 of which came in the second half. As indicated, the victory puts OSU at 18-12 (9-8), keeping their Big Dance dreams alive; however, their performance in the Big Ten tournament will probably determine ...

Buckeyes Win A Big One Against Purdue
It took an overtime to do it but the Buckeyes came from behind at the half to put an end to Purdue’s Big Ten Championship dreams. If ever there was a game Matta’s boys needed to win, this was it. A loss to the Boilermakers and the tournament dreams would have been about dead. However, with a win over the #15 team, the Buckeyes place themselves firmly on the tournament bubble. A ...
Ohio State beats Purdue.
The Badgers are now 1 game up. They play Penn State and travel to Northwestern. They have a really good shot of actually taking down the Big 10 Regular Season. I know I have not spoken on a regular basis in regards to the Wisconsin Badger basketball, but then again, I thought this to be a down year for Badger hoops. They lost Alando Tucker and Chris Rock, two four year starters and the #1 ...
