Sean Meagher posted a chat with Jason Quick over at the O-Live blog. The answers to why Nate McMillan turned down the contract extension -- if you were one of those people freaking out over nothing -- are in there, as is the call date for the Blazers regrouping at the practice facility: August 25th. That's one week earlier than they reported in last year, which was about one month or so before most other teams. And of course, the news that soothes the mind even though we already knew it, Greg Oden will be cleared for 5-on-5 scrimmaging at that time.
