ESPN is reporting that Sean Taylor passed away this morning from injuries he suffered early Monday morning when his home was invaded. He was 24. It is always tragic when someone so young passes away. It is especially tragic when it comes from needless violence. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Taylor family and the Redskins organization.

Per Official Site, ESPN, and elsewhere. He was 24 years old. My immediate thoughts turn now to his family. Hopefully there will be some opportunities for fans to do something, anything to honor his memory and assist his friends, teammates, and family through this difficult time. For now, though, my deepest condolences. I am at a loss.

After being shot by an intruder on Monday in his groin, Sean Taylor died early Tuesday morning. Several reports as late as last night said Taylor would recover and even squeezed a doctor's hand after surgery, but apparently, the blood loss was too much to overcome. Taylor was 24 years old.
