Raiders' pick is key to Jets' draft Links5
Sixteen days until the draft, and here’s what I’m hearing about the Jets: If they stay put at No. 6, they’ll probably get a shot at RB Darren McFadden or DE/LB Vernon Gholston. The Raiders (No. 4) hold the key. They’ve been linked to both players, but you never know what’s going to happen in the wacky world of Al Davis. The latest buzz is that he likes Gholston. In my opinion, Gholston and McFadden are two of the most intriguing players in the draft. Both have so ... [link]

T-Rock: "Now they have to do something about Dewayne Robertson to free up some cash if they hope to sign their draft picks. I'm still expecting a deal to the Broncos on the weekend of the draft, probably for a second-day pick. I've been told that Robertson and the Broncos already have a new contract in place for just such an occasion." Rich Cimini: "They’re still interested in re-signing Hank Poteat, the old standby, but they can’t offer him more than the minimum because they’re being strangled by Dewayne Robertson’s $11 million cap ...

Buzz: D-Rob Causing More Trouble
Published 4/11/2008 by Mack Rosenberg at thejetsblog.com
Dewayne Robertson has been everywhere for the Jets this offseason. We all know the stories, so I’m not going to readdress them here. Bottom line is, he shouldn’t be in a Jets uniform right now, and he still is. The Jets have tried many things to get rid of him, but the many flaws in D-Rob’s medical record are just too big of a risk to take for some teams. Anyway, now Robertson is getting in the way of the Jets off season plans, as Rich Cimini writes in The Jet Stream… Remember, the Jets have yet to address the cornerback issue ...
