RAIDERS SIGN HARTWELL
Published 5/7/2008 by Mike Florio at ProFootballTalk.com
The Oakland Raiders continue to round up any and all available players for the 2008 edition of their football team. Per the AP , the Raiders have signed veteran linebacker Edgerton Hartwell . But the Raiders could have had Hartwell at any time over the past nine months.  He was cut by the Bengals prior to the 2007 season, and didn’t play at all last year. Hartwell entered the league in 2001 and spent four seasons with the Ravens.  He signed a big-money deal with the Falcons in 2005 as a free agent, and was released two seasons later.  He joined the Bengals in May 2007.
