Aramis Ramirez to Miss Three Games
Published 6/30/2008 by Tom Fornelli at FanHouse
... has performed well, the straw that stirs the drink is, and always has been, Aramis Ramirez. That's why it's no surprise that the Cubs were swept by the White Sox this weekend after Ramirez went 0-for-13 in the series, a week after he nearly swept the Sox on his own. It turns out he may have had an excuse the last few days, though, as Aramis has some personal issues back at home in the Dominican Republic that have been weighing on his mind. Which is why he'll be leaving the Cubs for the next three days to attend to them. This isn't very good timing for ...

Sweeping in Chicago

Remember the other day when I said the Cubs-Sox "rivalry" doesn't stir my blood as much as you'd think it would? Wellll... It's still pretty nice to sweep the White Sox, as it is any team I suppose. By beating the Sox on Sunday night the Cubs improved to 32-8 at Wrigley Field. Yeah, 32-8. That's ridiculous. For Cubs fans, the most heartening thing has to be that guys like Aramis Ramirez and ...

Armando Borowski
When I heard the Indians lost a game where they were winning with 2 outs in the 10th inning, I thought to myself "Joe Borowski must be off the DL." And lo and behold I checked the box score and it was indeed Borowski who let up a 2 out homer to Ramirez. Not Manny Not Hanley Not Aramis Alexi Ramirez Oh yeah then he let up a single, a stolen base and a game winning hit. Hey Indians... here's a ...

Aramis Ramirez on Three Day Family Leave
The Cubs announced today that ARam will miss the next three games, all against the Giants, to attend to a family matter back in the Dominican Republic. The good news? The Cubs are playing the Giants. Aramis Ramirez to Miss Three Games
The Cubs offense has been pretty phenomenal this season. They lead the bigs in runs scored (443), batting average (.284), on-base percentage (.361), and slugging percentage (.444).
