... Hamilton...and of course, the irony of Hamilton winning the game when Ron Washington originally planned on sitting him, because Hamilton has struggled in day games this season. Hamilton says he hasn't been comfortable in the plate in day games, but convinced Washington that because the game was in a dome, it wouldn't matter. I'm glad he did...
And the Rangers are apparently at least kicking around the idea of signing Hamilton to a long-term deal...

Veteran lefty provides steady hand in bullpen The barking Eddie Guardado occasionally hears comes from his left arm, a byproduct of being 37 and making 809 appearances during 16 seasons in the major leagues. An ache here and there are part of the job for “Everyday Eddie,” one of baseball’s top closers during the past 10 seasons. He’s still going—and has been especially strong lately—as one of two left-handers in the Texas Rangers’ bullpen. So far having his best season since 2004, with an ERA+ of 103 and a WHIP of 1.06.
