Ravens Begin Training Camp, Joe Flacco Era Officially Underway in Baltimore
In yesterday's Baltimore Sun , Jamison Hensley asks a question most fans have been contemplating since the Ravens traded back into the first round of the NFL draft to take quarterback Joe Flacco : can the former Delaware star win the starting gig in Baltimore? Heading into the team's first official training camp practice, Kyle Boller was the odds-on favorite to get the first-team snaps, but ...
WNBA Brawls; Hernandez Ho-Hum On Reds’ HOF

Trevor Pryce is Back
Trevor Pryce, one of the stars of the Ravens’ defensive line before injuries slowed him down in 2007, is in camp and looking better than ever . The defensive end looked trim and didn’t seem to be carrying extra weight on his 6-foot-5, 286-pound frame. After practicing with mostly rookies in the morning at McDaniel College in Westminster, Pryce ran sprints on an empty football ...
A Slight Downgrade Is In Store for Ravens’ O-Line
It’s not that unusual for basketball players to make the jump to football. (See: Gonzalez, Tony and Gates, Antonio .) People will argue Julius Peppers as well, but I see him more as a football player who dabbled in basketball. And now the CARROLL COUNTY TIMES shoots up news of the latest hoopster trying to make the same transition: Joe Reitz (not seen to the left). The difference ...

Rough Outing For Troy Smith
The Baltimore Sun’s Jamison Hensley reports from Ravens camp that Troy Smith took the first team’s snaps today. And struggled. In six plays, he was 1-for-5 passing with three interceptions and a fumbled snap. One of the interceptions was made by secondary coach Chuck Pagano, who was filling in as a defensive back. No Training Camp for Terrell Suggs
Michael Strahan did it to perfection last year, and the hope is that Terrell Suggs’ contract situation and resulting absence from training camp will reap the same results. Game 13: Redskins @ Ravens
Due to their proximity, this game has become known as the "Battle of the Beltway" as both teams play just over 30 miles from each other from Baltimore to Washington. However, we all know that there is little ...
