How about THIS for a surplus, Rob: Scott Kazmir, James Shields, Edwin Jackson, Andy Sonnanstine, Jeff Niemann, David Price, Jake McGee, Wade Davis, and Mitch Talbot? But that wouldn't have made a compelling argument for your story, would it have, Rob? Trading away the team's most popular player - when it can't even draw 12,000 fans for a weekday game and 20,000 for a weekend game - would've been a BRILLIANT idea.
